Sudan: Relief plane leaves for Sudan

A relief plane carrying 100 tonnes of relief supplies left Abu Dhabi yesterday to Khartoum. The plane was dispatched by the Mohammed bin Rashid Foundation for Humanitarian and Charitable Works as part of the efforts by the Dubai-based charity organisation to ameliorate the suffering of people affected by recent floods in the country. Ibrahim Bumelha, Deputy Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the Foundation said the relief loads comprised of food kits in addition blankets, tents and clothes. The items would be distributed in cooperation with local humanitarian agencies.
